An Email from the Past : Matthew 28 20

In my early months as a baby Christian,i once emailed my Christian Colleague, Bro Andrew on:

"wats the purpose of life as a child of God?"

Word for Word, His reply as follow:

Dear brother

Our first and foremost purpose in life is to know, love our God our Creator with all our heart, mind, soul and strength. Matt 22:27

Subsequently as we love Him, His love would compel us to serve His Church (people) and ultimately we are called to fufill His Great Commission. Matt 28:18-20

But bottom-line, (1) it is our love relationship with Jesus that we have to zealously hold on to and nurture (2) which will enable us to live our lives with purpose in accomplishing His purpose as His child in the Great Commission.

The great commission is what Jesus commanded all His disciples to do... You got it half right which is to convert. The other part is to mentor or build up others to obey what God commands of us in the Bible.

¹⁸Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. ¹⁹Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in^[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20

Last month, after G12 conference i caught the spirit about Matthew 28:19 . This moment i catch the spirit of verse 20.

thank God , not too late. mentoring and building up others, to obey what God commands of us in the Bible.

Part of the process of being build up through brotherly love, (me and bro andrew in red)being strangled.. :P
